Card Purse set
I've long admired the card purse design since I saw Julie Buhler's original here, and I've been meaning to try her tutorial for some time, but was put off by the thought that I'd have to adapt measurements from Canadian/US card sizes to ours, and of course from inches to centimetres. Then, as luck would have it, team-mate Liam had one at our last team meeting (you can see one of hers here) and had already done all the size adjustments necessary! How lucky was that? So as she was kind enough to share, I finally got around to giving it a go.Here's the purse:

Purse open with cards and envelopes in the pocket. The original had two smaller pockets; Liam adapted it to one larger pocket.
And here are the card designs and matching envelopes (note to self: buy vanilla envelopes!). I deliberately didn't put a sentiment so the cards could be used for any purpose.

Did you notice the use of the new eyelet border punch? GOJUS! I'm loving it!
I have to say I am very pleased with how it turned out! Now I've got to make another one for my workshop next week - more of that soon.
Supplies used:
- stamp - A Rose Is A Rose
- card - bravo burgundy, always artichoke, very vanilla
- papers - Recollections, Spring Flowers (both retired)
- inks - cranberry crisp, bravo burgundy, true thyme, always artichoke
- punches - scallop border, eyelet border
- other - pearl brads (Cristina Re), adhesive pearls (Kaiser), cream satin ribbon (Birch craft), burgundy brads (LSS), nestabilities and Big Shot, dimensionals
Thanks for calling in! Will be back shortly once DD17 wakes up and picks a blog candy winner!
Cheers
